The Bridge Program: Community Humanities Education
A free college-level humanities program for low-income adults
Participate in a unique educational program that will improve your reading and writing skills and help you develop your ability to think independently, creatively and critically.
The program runs from October to June each year. Our next classes will start next October, although we accept applications throughout the year. Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-10pm, at Antioch University Los Angeles (400 Corporate Pointe, Culver City, CA 90230).
The Bridge Program offers students:
- A non-traditional approach to the study of the Humanities
- Introductory courses in Literature, Philosophy, Art History, and Writing
- A supportive environment for developing reading and writing skills, analytical thinking and a strong individual voice
- Extensive instruction in basic college writing
- Mentoring relationships with faculty and tutors
